As part of S.M.I.L.E-ing Boys Project mission to tell counter-stereotypical visual stories about Black boys, they partnered with GUAP to produce a short film supported by Jordan Brand and JD Sports. This film centres the voices of Black boys, inviting viewers into their lives to explore their aspirations while affirming their right to be heard, seen, and championed through a lens that highlights their humanity. Kay Rufai's happiness research informed the framework of the film, collaborating with and empowering the participants to bring their authentic voices to the storyline. This film implores us to create a world where Black boys feel safe, free, and supported to realise their potential. This is more than a film—it's a call to action. Let's champion Black boy joy together
